Second Saturday Salon is a recurring event each 2nd Saturday of every month. Ok, sometimes we promote events on other Saturdays of the month…
It is a gathering of interesting friends, musicians, artists and their acquaintances. We host these events in a neighborhood off Piedmont Avenue near Grand Avenue. This is not a business. It is our way to support local artists and musicians; to cook food we love; and to foster community.
Space is limited so you must RSVP ahead of time to ensure an intimate concert setting. Please reserve your space early by going to www.brownpapertickets.com to purchase will call tickets up until 3 hours before the show. (In the event descriptions below are links to the specific event tickets). There will be directions to the concerts on that site in order to avoid spammers. Email any questions about the events email to secondsaturdaysalon@gmail.com or call Robert at 415.994.3501

Macy Blackman & the Mighty Fines March 10,2012
It’s Mardi Gras! Get your dancing shoes on for this fun band!!!
Hearing Macy Blackman is like stepping into an uptown New Orleans club such as the Dew Drop Inn, circa 1955! The Mighty Fines’ music forges a synthesis between early New Orleans Jazz and the R&B of the early ’50′s. The versatile musicians also play swing and bebop.
Local wisdom is that “If this band doesn’t make you move your feet, it’s amazing you got here at all.
Tickets may be purchased at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/218094 or by contacting Robert at 415.994.3501. Ticket price is $30 per person and includes music, beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres. Food served is always local, organic, and vegetarian.
